      Help from the librarian

Ask the librarian to locate a title, suggest books for a subject, or request a book the library does not yet have.

      Lectures and orientation

Library orientation for new students, the Vyakhyanmala lecture series and reading activities through the year.

      Suggest a book

Tell the librarian which textbooks or competitive exam books you need. Student requests guide what the library buys next.

      Free e-resources for students

Books, journals, courses and study material you can use free of cost, from home or in the library. Pick a subject or a provider to narrow the list. Every link opens the official website.

      Provider

Only official websites of free e-resources are listed here. Every resource is free for students to use; some ask you to sign up with your email first. For SWAYAM and NPTEL the courses are free and only the optional certificate exam has a fee. Links last checked 1 November 2026. Need help using any of them? Ask the librarian.

        Scholarships and schemes for students

Official portals for scholarships, fee reimbursement, education loans, paid internships and free coaching from the Government of India and the Government of Maharashtra. Applying on these portals is free.

        Government of India

          Government of Maharashtra

Need help applying? Eligibility, income limits and last dates change every year, so always read the current notice on the official portal. Scholarship forms are verified by the college office. Ask the librarian if you need help finding the right scheme or using the library computer to apply.

            Jobs and careers

Official websites for government jobs, bank exams, public sector companies and the stock market. Recruitment notices, syllabi, admit cards and results are published here first.

                Public sector undertakings (PSUs)

Open the Careers page on each website. PSUs hire commerce and arts graduates mainly for finance, accounts, HR and management trainee posts.

                  Stock market: NSE and BSE

Apply only on official websites. Government recruiters never ask for money to guarantee a job. If a website or message promises selection for a payment, it is a fraud. Check with the librarian if you are unsure.

                    Online newspapers and news media

Read the day’s news online in English, Marathi and Hindi. Regular newspaper reading builds general knowledge for competitive exams and interviews.

Most news on these websites is free to read. Some articles on The Hindu, The Indian Express, Business Standard and Mint need a paid subscription. Links open the official website of each newspaper or channel.
